Akron, OH: Heart to Heart Communications is launching their first class of their newest innovative program, the Purposeful Leadership Program. The program aims to deepen an individual’s sense of purpose and to elevate their leadership skills, so that they can better serve in their organizations and in the wider community.

Heart to Heart is launching the program in September 2020. Participants for the program applied and were selected based on their experience as leaders passionate about increasing their leadership skills and abilities to better inspire their people, organizations and community.

Purposeful leaders have a higher purpose that drives them and inspires others to give their very best, while also being aware of their own strengths and weaknesses in order to leverage them for change.

The first participants for Purposeful Leadership Program include Debbie Barry—Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority, Kimberly Beckett—Downtown Akron Partnership, Jaime Blair—Summit County Juvenile Court, Kemp Boyd—Love Akron, Kimberly Cook—Akron Zoo, Bhim Dhungana—International Institute of Akron, Charmane Harrison—Akron Children’s Hospital, Zachary Kohl—The Well CDC, Chrissy Lingenfelter—City of Green, Erin Palmer—Leppo Group, LLC, Heather Roszczyk—City of Akron, Brian Steere—STEERE.

The Purposeful Leadership Program will include six all-day sessions, six hours of one-on-one coaching, and The Leadership Circle Profile 360 Leadership Assessment given to all participants.

The development of the Purposeful Leadership Program has been under the direction of Christine Williams PhD, Senior Director of Leadership Development at Heart to Heart Communications.

Heart to Heart Communications’ facilitators and coaches put in a total of over 600 hours of combined work to prepare the program for its start in September 2020.

Certified Leadership Circle 360 Coaches include Heart to Heart Communications Executive Director Jeremy Lile, MDiv, Christine Williams, PhD, Heart to Heart Communications Director of Community Impact Larry Vuillemin, J.D., Charmaine Holland, MS Psychology, John Ropar, PhD, and Deborah Zawislan, PhD.

Funding for the program was provided by GAR Foundation, Welty Family Foundation, Akron Community Foundation, and Knight Foundation.
