Inclusive Leadership Series

This series can be offered as a series or workshop with customizable topics to fit your needs.

Many studies show that sharing stories and building connections lead to quantitative and qualitative results. The series provides leaders at every level with an in-depth and practical guide that goes beyond competencies and skill-building. It is an interactive journey that focuses on building awareness, appreciation, action, and accountability regarding inclusion. Within this group, you will have access to individuals with whom you can exchange ideas and share strategies to achieve personal and professional growth and success.

H. Peter Burg Leadership from Within Series

This series provides an in-depth and practical guide to strengthen leadership capabilities, with an emphasis on personal inner growth as the foundation for effective leadership.

You will learn with and from others how you can integrate ethics, spirituality and integrity into your day-to-day work life while balancing work, family, service, and self from a values-based perspective.

Based on the philosophy that we lead by virtue of who we are, and using the best-selling book “Leadership from the Inside Out:  Becoming a Leader for Life” as a primary resource, the sessions are framed in seven simple yet profound “mastery areas.”

These areas serve as an integrated coaching experience that helps leaders understand how to harness their authentic, value-creating influence and elevate their impact as individuals, in teams, and organizations.

The Enneagram at the Workplace

The Enneagram is an insightful, practical, and proven personality system about people—how we are alike and how we are different, what motivates us, where we place our attention, and how we relate, communicate, deal with conflict, and manage change.

This program familiarizes individuals and teams with the Enneagram System as a resource for deepening self-awareness and increasing one’s ability to better understand, relate, and work with others.

Through personal assessments and reflections, group dialogue, and case studies, along with numerous useful tools, participants will gain strategies to incorporate the Enneagram to support each other, your clients, and the organizational mission, vision, values, and goals.

Working as One: Fundamental Conversations That Build Cooperation & Get Results

During this workshop teams will walk away with strategic considerations and concrete ideas for how to work better together using specific communication tools and techniques.

Using the book, Working as One as a reference guide, this program is highly interactive. With the help of numerous organizational examples, case studies, individual and organizational self-assessment instruments, role playing and large/small group discussions.

Developing an Appreciative Mindset for Personal and Organizational Change

This workshop actively engages teams or groups in a process using an Appreciative Mindset approach—one that moves people from negative/defensive problem solving to one that emphasizes creativity and possibility thinking.

Incorporating many of the principles and practices of Appreciative Inquiry, participants are introduced to the value of bringing everyone together in the organization or work environment to focus upon what has been good and to prioritize what hopes and wishes people have for developing a better workplace of the future.  The group is guided through an experience connected to a topic participants choose. How completely the strategy is used will depend upon whether there will be follow-up sessions to this workshop.

Mindful Leadership

Participants will have opportunities to experience and practice proven techniques for integrating mindful leadership into a busy life, enabling leaders—whether they lead organizations, teams, or families—to enhance their ability to lead and live with excellence.

Based on extensive research and the highly-regarded book, “Finding the Space to Lead:  a Practical Guide to Mindful Leadership”, this program provides a roadmap to integrate the practice of “mindfulness” into the practical issues of leadership:  effective communication, focus, innovation, and strategic planning, as well as interpersonal challenges such as listening and working with difficult colleagues.

Recognizing, Using, and Developing Your Strengths as a Team

This program provides teams the information and tools to recognize, encourage, and leverage the strengths of themselves and co-workers to work together more effectively.

Using the book, StrengthsFinder 2.0 and an on-line individual assessment, participants are guided to determine their most vital strengths and establish practical ways to develop and use them more often in the workplace, as well as in their personal lives.

Through reflection, experiential learning, and group conversations, participants will walk away with an increased understanding of what it takes to develop their strengths and a personal action plan that supports their unique growth opportunities.

Living and Leading a Resilient Life

This series explores the deeper causes of stress, negativity, and imbalance within one’s life, especially at work.

Based on the book Bounce:  Living the Resilient Life, practical and proven insights, tools, and resources are provided for getting at the core of these tensions and discovering ways to foster self-renewal.  Key content includes managing “self-talk” to move toward healthier thinking and a more positive attitude in challenging circumstances, improving the ability to manage priorities, identifying strategies to be more mindful, balanced and resilient, especially in difficult circumstances and identifying ways the organization can assist in fostering a work environment that strengthens the vitality and sense of purpose of all employees

Looking to create a deeper sense of purpose in your workplace? We look forward to hearing from you and creating a customized program. Please contact Sarah to schedule a consultation, info@h2hc.org or 330-434-3278.
